San Francisco Pied-à-terre

This pied-à-terre offers a serene retreat with sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay. The high-rise apartment, originally designed by the legendary architect Joseph Eichler and located in the coveted Russian Hill neighborhood, had many of the original finishes. Our clients envisioned a revised layout that was sophisticated, clean and fresh with a harmonious blend of modern and traditional elements.

Our clients requested a space that offered a respite from their daily bustle at home on the Peninsula, where they could unwind from the week or invite family and friends for quick or extended stays. They wanted crisp lines, along with a neutral color palette, accented by blues and black. These elements, along with custom white oak paneling and floors, complement the natural light and stunning views.
