Modern Tudor

Nestled on a tree-lined street in Palo Alto, this Tudor-style home remained untouched for decades. The new homeowners, seeking a peaceful refuge from their daily lives, envisioned a sanctuary to unwind and entertain family and friends in equal measure.

To bring their vision to life, we began by transforming the living and dining areas. What was once a dining room, became a music room, designed for relaxation and inspiration with French doors added to invite natural light. In the living room, modern yet soft furnishings create a welcoming and harmonious atmosphere.

The kitchen design balanced function with beauty. We introduced an oversized white oak island for gathering that mirrors the soft curves of the room’s windows, while materials like Caldia marble, Zellige tile, and fluted glass pendants add texture and depth. Brass details further elevate the space.

A palette of lush green with accents from Southeast Asia evoke a sense of tranquility. These curated details, along with large-scale art serve as bold focal points in every room and reflect the homeowners' personal journey within the heart of their home.
